Acquisitions
We buycontent sitesand apps
Softlead Technologies acquires established content websites, apps and online businesses directly from their owners. We are a long-term operator, not a portfolio flipper.
What we look for
We are specific about what fits. If your business matches most of the following, a conversation is worth having.
A proven track record
An established business with a real operating history, an intact archive and a stable audience or user base.
Content, media, apps or SaaS
Publishers, review sites, niche media, wikis, databases, forums, directories, mobile apps and small software products.
Still active
The site is still publishing, the app still has users, or the community is still posting. We do not buy abandoned domains.
An owner who is ready
Usually a founder with a full-time job elsewhere, a small team running on goodwill, or a company for which the asset is no longer core.
Clean history
No link schemes, no search penalties, no unreconciled liabilities.
Any size
From a single-operator site to a title inside a larger group.
We also look at businesses that do not tick every box. If you are unsure, ask.
A structured acquisition process
Introduction and NDA
One email is enough to start. We sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before any information is exchanged.
Information review
A short, defined information request: twelve months of revenue by source, traffic or usage data, and cost base. We assess it ourselves.
Indicative offer
A written non-binding offer with the valuation basis, the multiple used and the proposed payment structure. Normally within 48 hours of complete information.
Due diligence
A focused commercial, technical and legal review under a limited exclusivity period. No open-ended fishing expedition.
Purchase agreement
A share or asset purchase agreement covering price, payment terms, warranties, what transfers and the agreed transition terms.
Completion and transfer
Funds held by a notary or escrow agent and released at closing, followed by an agreed handover period. Typically four to six weeks from first contact.
Discretion is the default
Most owners do not want it known that they are considering a sale — not to their audience, not to their contributors, not to their competitors. Nothing you tell us is shared, and no discussion is disclosed at any stage unless we both agree to it. If a conversation goes nowhere, it never happened.
If you have been thinking about it, say so.
A first conversation costs you one email and commits you to nothing. If it is not a fit, we will tell you straight away.
